How you get credits
Monthly (or annual) plan allocation — granted when your subscription is activated or renews.
Purchases — one-time credit packs bought through Paystack.
Promotional credits — occasionally granted by GospelMaker for launches, campaigns or goodwill.
Referral credits — granted when a referral you make qualifies under our referral program.
Your credit balance has four buckets
Internally your balance is tracked as four separate buckets — promotional, subscription, referral and purchased — so we always know where each credit came from. Your total balance is the sum of all four.
How credits are consumed
When you start a generation, its cost (shown to you before you run it) is reserved from your balance. If the job completes, the reservation is settled and the credits are spent. If the job fails, times out or you cancel it, the reservation is released and the credits return to your balance automatically.
Spend priority
When a job is charged, buckets are drawn down in a set order — promotional credits first, then subscription credits, then referral credits, then purchased credits last — so the credits most likely to expire are used first. This order is configurable by GospelMaker and may change.
Expiry & rollover
Subscription credits do not roll over into the next billing period unless your specific plan enables rollover.
Promotional credits may carry their own expiry date, stated when they are granted.
Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains open.
Referral credits follow the terms of the referral program active when they were granted.
Refundability
Purchased credits may be refundable in limited circumstances — see our Refund Policy. Subscription, promotional and referral credits are not refundable for money because no separate payment was made for them.
After cancellation
Cancelling a subscription stops future subscription credit grants at the end of the paid period. Purchased credits already on your balance are not affected by a plan change or cancellation.
After account deletion
If you delete your account, any remaining credit balance — regardless of bucket — is forfeited. There is no cash-out of unused credits.
Failed generations
A failed or cancelled generation never charges you: its reservation is released and the credits return to your balance the same way they were held, with no support request needed.
