Subscription Terms

How billing, renewal, cancellation and plan changes work for paid GospelMaker plans.

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This page is drafted to describe how GospelMaker actually operates today. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in our operating jurisdiction, and should be treated as a working draft until that review happens.

Billing frequency

Paid plans bill monthly or annually, depending on what you choose at checkout, through Paystack.

Renewal

Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period and your saved payment method is charged, unless you have already scheduled a cancellation or downgrade.

Upgrades & downgrades

Upgrading takes effect immediately, with the new plan's credits granted right away. Downgrading is scheduled for the end of your current paid period — you keep your current plan's benefits until then, and the new plan applies automatically afterward.

Cancellation

Cancelling stops future renewals at the end of your current paid period; your plan benefits continue until that date. You can resume (undo the cancellation) any time before the period ends from Billing.

Failed payment

If a renewal charge fails, your plan enters a grace period (length set per plan) during which your benefits continue while you update your payment method. If payment is not resolved by the end of the grace period, your account automatically moves to the Free plan.

Unused subscription credits

Subscription credits granted for a billing period do not carry over into the next period unless your plan explicitly enables rollover. See our Credit Policy for full detail.

Purchased credits survive plan changes

Credits you bought separately are not affected by upgrading, downgrading, cancelling or expiring to Free — they stay on your balance until spent or your account is deleted.

Price changes

If we change a plan's price or limits, your subscription keeps the terms you originally subscribed under (a saved snapshot) until your next renewal, so a price change never silently alters what you're already paying for mid-period.
